I Need Reference Images Empty I Need Reference Images

You read correctly. You see, I want to make my own Bionicle RPG/MMORPG (undecided) centered around the 2001-2003 storyline. However, the oldest Bionicle I own is a Vahki. So, I have decided to use Blender as my modelling engine. I know how to use reference images to make models, although not-that-detailed models, as I am new to the whole CGI-thing. The problem is, I have no reference images to work off of. So what I need is front, side, and top images of, for now, just the Toa Mata, individually. I will submit pictures of my progress, assuming I make any. Wink Thanks! By the way, is this the right part of the forum for this?

Check Biosector01. If that doesn't work, look for the Mata Nui Online Game, 1 and 2. Also, another good place to look is the Bohrok online animations. They have simpler models of the toa mata. Hope this helped!

ok first of all this isnt really anything to do with the projects so id say it dosnt belong here and should be in either GD or another forum but for now it will stay here coz i cant move it and i dunno exactly where to stick it lol.

secondly we here at BNG are making an RPG like game. i think it may be in your interest to have a look there and see whats going on and maybe you could join that group.

    i say this because:

1.if you have ever heard of BQOTT then you will know its really hard to finish a projects if its just you working on it
2.we have made much progress with our RPG so if you join you could get a good foothold in it and its better to work in a group when trying to take on a project like this one you want to.

we have also done alot of bionicle parts both for the movies and RPG so if you join the group you wont have to make every part from scrach........

Well, I don't see where I could help, as I have very little experience with modelling, none in animating, and I'm not a very good actor, but that's expected if you're my age (don't ask). But if you need ideas, PM me. I have plenty. Very Happy But either way, I DO want to help, like I said, I don't know where, or even how, to help.

well the first step to helping any project is to identify the area that interests you the most.

once you have done that look into that department of the project. see what others have done (almost study their work)

then learn how to do that role. look online for tutorials; ask for help/advise from members here what to do or how to overcome problems.

the main thing is dedication; if you are dedicated to learning a new skill and are willing to help out the project you will succeed in it. like everything you get out of it just as much as you put in

Warrior of Jupiter, I was thinking about what you said, and I like making things, so I want to help model. However, I said I am inexperienced. So, I can make simple objects for you if you need them.
But in the meantime, I want to finish my own project. CodeOperator, BioSector01 is under heavy maintinence at the moment. I can't find any photos of anything. I tried Google for MNOG 1 and 2, but found very few kind-of-useful images. The Bohrok Online Animations really didn't help. So if you or someone you know has the Toa Mata sets, please PM me the front, side, and top shots of each set. Big pictures, if able. It would help me alot.

well for images the best place to look is actually brickshelf. finding images of top; side and front of images however is really hard and when we need them usually someone here takes a few pics of their peices for us. the 11th doctor used to do that alot for me.

if you can find a normal picture of the mata set and then find for example the side view of the mata leg/arm peice you could use the other pics as reference. and seeing how you want to make low polly models that should be fine coz you dont need all the detail coz most of the detail can be done using textures.

take a look on brickshelf first of all there are lots of images of all bionicle bits n bobs

I found them! One Brickshelf user named BionicleLegends has a whole database of Bionicle images! Very Happy Sure the angle is off in some pictures, but there's always a way around that. I found it on Brickshelf! And I thought it was just a website for posting random images of Legos. Thanks for the help!

This is the progress that I made. Obviously, I'm not done. I know it's not as good as the stuff you make, but it's a start. What do you think?I Need Reference Images Gali-n12
